Monster Waves

It was an honour for our school as well as for us, the participants, when it was announced that five of us had been selected to experience a whole day in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. That special day started with the presentation of all the countries that participated in the confrence. And continued with us negotiating and exchanging views with our peers, learning more about the European Union and especially its Parliament.

The Eurogame was a very intelligent policy which helped the new generation to realise how, t

hrough co-operation many goals can be achieved, even if the language is different. In addition to this, another advantage of this meeting was that we had the chance to speak another language and experience different cultures and places. To conclude, it is unannimously agreed that this opportunity we were given, was beneficial for us as well as being the experience of a lifetme.

THE ATHENS MODEL UNITED NATIONS, 12th ANNUAL SESSION, MARCH 27,28,29, 2009

The Athens model United Nations took place in the Apollo Conference Center in Piraeus.
Our school participated with 7 students who represented Germany and Tajikistan.

The MUN conferences offer the students real benefits. They meet many young people of their age, have the opportunity to discuss global issues, broaden their horizons, develop their critical thinking and they learn the art of diplomacy! The delegates enjoy the whole session. The MUN offers a lot to young people as it gives them the chance to gain knowledge of international affairs and then to propose actions to be taken by the UN.

Therefore the MUN inspires the youth to take leadership in "their hands" and make the world a better place through the promotion of human rights and democracy.
